I consider myself a digital specialist, who also writes TV ads, billboards and the odd brand guidelines document.
I started out as a journalist with FHM, before parking my journalistic ethics to become a writer at DDB Sydney. From there I hopped over to Euro RSCG, then on to Ogilvy Interactive where digital got embedded into my DNA.
Eventually Europe called, and I answered; working at Tribal DDB Amsterdam on international brands such as Gucci and Phillips. Then moving on to a boutique network agency called Nomads where I was ACD on brands such as Emirates, Grolsch and adidas - managing teams across continents and disciplines. When the management team split, Nomads morphed into The Formery, a creative intelligence agency, which I had the great privilege of helping shape and grow.
I’ve spent the past two and a half years back in my hometown, Sydney, freelancing with global digital network VML (which recently rebranded as VMLY&R after a merger). I was working on McDonald’s, Netflix, UNICEF and Vodafone - winning that account in a pitch that took place entirely during the depths of Covid lockdown. I also won a few awards along the way.
